Client-Side Mods/Etc Empty Optifine Update!

Post by Admin Wed Mar 23, 2016 9:25 am

With the launch of Minecraft 1.9 earlier this month, many of our players have been waiting patiently for Optifine to make their move and update their mod, and just a few days ago they did just that! Now, this version of Optifine is just a preview, and has a few bugs still, but it is still worth downloading. For those of us who like using shaders (I'm definitely guilty), there is also a great shader pack you can use for Optifine that is currently functioning with 1.9 as well, both of which I will link down at the bottom of the post. If you are wondering "what is optifine?", we are here to tell you that it is the solution to all of your laggy client or high-quality needs! If you need a bit more FPS on your side, you can turn off almost anything graphics related, making the game a LOT easier to run on your system. However, if you want something that looks super flashy, you can also do that with Optifine by installing shaders, or just turning everything up a few notches!

Optifine Preview Download: http://optifine.net/adloadx?f=preview_OptiFine_1.9.0_HD_U_A3_pre.jar
To Install:
1) Download optifine
2) Double-Click the jar file
3) Hit "Install"
4) look for the new "optifine" profile
5) Enjoy your new awesome optifine install!

MrMeepz Shader Pack: http://www.mediafire.com/download/768bswy5pkkm7h4/MrMeepz%27+Shaders+v05+UltraPlus.zip#39;_Shaders_v05_Ultra_.zip
1) Download and install optifine
2) Download the zip file
3) Navigate to your minecraft folder (usually C:\Users\(your user)\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft)
4) Paste the zip file into the "shaderpacks" folder
5) Launch Minecraft with your optifine profile
6) Under Video Settings -> Performance turn OFF "Fast Render"
7) Under Video Settings -> Shaders Select the MrMeepz pack and hit "done"
Cool Enjoy!
